Established in 1991, we are a reputable, family-run fireplace and stove retailer with over 25 years’ industry experience.

Our founder Chris Gray, set up Ampthill Fireplaces when he decided to turn his passion for restoring antique fireplaces into his full time occupation. Now you will find his son James at the helm.

Our three-storey showroom is the largest fireplace and stove showroom in Herts, Beds and Bucks. Located in the heart of the picturesque market town of Ampthill, it contains over 100 carefully selected displays of wood burning and multi-fuel stoves, gas fires and traditional fireplaces.

The showroom’s roaring fires are guaranteed to warm you up on a cold day or make you nostalgic for long winter nights even in the height of summer. Pop in to see for yourself. You may even meet the family dog Mia who can often be found stretched out in-front of a wood burning stove.
