Payment

All prices quoted on this website are in British pounds and include VAT at the current rate. Our company VAT number is 772313147. We accept all major credit and debit cards, including:

• Visa
• Mastercard
• Switch / Maestro
• Delta

All credit and debit card transactions on this website are processed using secure online payment systems provided by Protx - the UK’s largest independent Payment Service Provider. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. If you place an especially high-value order, we reserve the right to contact you for further confirmation of your order details, prior to authorisation. We also accept payment by cheque. Cheques require a minimum of five working days clearance time before goods are dispatched. Goods remain the property of the supplier until they are paid for in full.

Returns and Cancellation

It is your responsibility to choose a product of appropriate fuel type, chimney needs and dimensions.

Once we have delivered your product, you are responsible for storage and installation. We recommend that you do not book a date for installation until the item has been delivered.

We specialise in providing high quality stoves and fireplaces at discounted prices. Please help us keep prices low by taking responsibility for ordering the correct item, and clearly specifying any options you require. If you are purchasing a stove from us please remember to add the appropriate flue pipe to your order to avoid paying a separate delivery cost.

When you buy goods through AmpthillFireplaces.co.uk, you have the same rights as when purchasing from a regular shop or showroom. In addition, you are entitled to a seven day 'cooling off' period. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchases and if for any reason you are not happy please return it within seven days and we will exchange, replace or refund it at your request - subject to the following conditions:

• The goods must be returned with all accessories, packaging, instructions, etc.
• A proof of purchase must be supplied.
• The goods must not have been fitted, installed or used in any way.
• The goods must be unmarked and free from blemishes of any kind. You must return them in a saleable condition.
• We will not refund any items that have been specially made to your individual specification or personalised.

We strive to supply goods in excellent condition. Stoves and fireplaces are both heavy and fragile, and need careful handling. Before returning an item to us, you must contact us in writing and obtain a Returns Authorisation code. If you return a product to us without this code clearly marked on the packaging we cannot replace it or refund any money. Emails notifying us of cancellation must be sent to info@ampthillfireplaces.co.uk and not to ANY other email address.

You have the right to receive a refund within 30 days of cancellation. We normally pay refunds by cheque within 14 days of cancellation or the goods being returned safely (whichever is the later). We will make a deduction from the refund to cover the full cost of delivery.

After the seven day ‘cooling off’ period has elapsed, we regret that we must make a 25% restocking charge for item returned to us. We will make a deduction from any refund to cover the full cost of delivery.

Faulty products: If your item is found to be damaged or defective when it is delivered we will replace or repair the item free of charge. We cannot accept return of products which are found to be damaged after delivery. Items which have been signed for are deemed to be correct and in good condition.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Your Email address

Confirmation of your order will be sent to your email address. It is your responsibility to provide us with a correct and up-to-date email address. We do not sell, rent or loan customer email addresses to any other party. If you wish to advise us of a change of email address, please contact us.

We will confirm acceptance (or otherwise) of your order as soon as possible, either by email (if your order was placed online), or by telephone. A binding agreement arises once we accept your order and we will then charge your debit/credit card.

Cookies

Cookies are small pieces of text that your web browser stores on your computer when you visit some sites. AmpthillFireplaces.co.uk uses some cookies that make it easier for you to use our site. For example, we may use a Cookie to retrieve your shopping cart contents on a return visit. The Cookie contains no personal information about you, it is merely a text file and the Cookie we may add is nothing more.

We make every effort to ensure that the information on our site is accurate and up to date. We will promptly correct any errors brought to our attention. We cannot accept any liability for errors or omissions on this site, while we try to provide accurate information, errors and omissions are possible.

While we try to be as accurate as possible, all sizes, weights and measurements quoted are approximate. Specifications are obtained from the manufacturers and cannot be guaranteed accurate. Product descriptions are for guidance only and specifications may change without notice.

We have displayed the colours of our products as accurately as possible however, we cannot guarantee that you monitor will accurately display the colour of the actual product.

We cannot accept responsibility for information or opinions from third-parties contained within this site or for the content of links from this site.

We reserve the right to withdraw any item from sale, at any point prior to dispatch, for whatever reason. You will be promptly informed if such a situation arises.

Changes to our terms and conditions: Ampthill Fireplaces reserves the right to remove, modify or change, without notice, any information on this site. We may change these terms and conditions at any time by posting the changes on the site. If you use this site after the terms and conditions have been changed, you will be bound by the new terms. We therefore recommend that you read the terms each time you visit the site, before placing an order.
