Delivery

Ampthill Fireplaces offers **free delivery** on all orders over £500 to mainland UK addresses.

Please note: a small delivery charge may be added to addresses in Scotland, Wales and Cornwall. If you live in these areas, please contact us for a delivery quote. If your order total is less than £500 we may ask you to contribute towards the cost of delivery - each case will be considered individually and we always endeavor to keep prices as low as possible.

Please allow 10-14 days for delivery. Depending on stock availability delivery will normally take up to two weeks, but can take longer in some instances. If the goods ordered are unavailable, we will contact you with suggestions of goods of equivalent quality and a similar price wherever possible.

Cheque payments must be cleared before the product can be dispatched.

Please do not sign for or accept any goods until they have been unpacked and checked in full. Only sign if you are satisfied with the condition of the goods. Items which are signed for are deemed to be correct and in good condition.

Our deliveries are usually made by large (7.5 tonne) lorries. Please contact us before ordering if a vehicle of this size will be unable to get close to your property and in some cases we will be able to arrange for a smaller vehicle to deliver the goods. Example of areas we can’t deliver to are; long, graveled drives, areas inside walled cities with height restrictions, narrow lanes, flats. If carriers are unable to deliver to you, they will charge us for the failed delivery and return. If you have not informed us of any potential problems, we shall have to hold you liable for these charges.

As long as you provide us with a contact number, the carriers will normally contact you a day or two before delivering. Please ensure that there will be someone at the address on the scheduled day of delivery who can sign for the delivery and help the driver unload.

We will endeavor to deliver goods within the times stated but goods are subject to availability and a delay in delivery is sometimes out of our control. Any dates and times we supply will be as accurate as possible but are approximate and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses resulting from a delay in delivery. Please allow enough time for your item to be delivered before you organise installation.
